And english menu and great miso katsu, which seems to be a Nagoyan specialty! We had to wait 5-10 minutes for our table, but we ordered in the meantime so that our food was rapidly served after we were seated. The staff was friendly and while their english was not fully fluent it was more than enough to communicate our wishes.Arigato gozaimasu!

Very good place if you want to try the local specialty, pork cutlet in miso sauce. Expect long queues and quick service. There's an elevator for people of reduced mobility

Usually need to queue. We went at 8:30 pm and the restaurant still busy. I ordered the prime set and price is reasonable. Food is amazingly delicious, tasty, tendered, juicy served hot. Multiple language menu provided. Staffs is helpful.

One of the-must-eat food in Nagoya! I went there before lunchtime so it was quite empty. Although its quite pricey than the average lunch but the food itself was superb! I choose the ordinary Pork Katsu Don but i saw most of local choose the hotplate for lunch — it was too big for me by the way.

Tender pork in crispy batter. A must try miso dish. We had the dual sauce set meal but felt it was way too much for 1 person. Unless you are really starving suggest to get the single dish set.

When in Nagoya you should definitely try the miso katsu and this place has a really good selection of it!

Very Juicy Pork Cutlet. Well Balance of Fats and Lean. Perfect Tenderness. Miso Sauce is rich flavourful but not overpowering. Compliment the whole serving well. Certainly will revisit! Pls prepare to queue...as popularity is high during meal hours.

We arrived there for lunch, and was scared to see the line up lead all the way up a narrow stairways which seemed to go on up forever. Thankfully, we waited only for 15 mins, and the line up only went up one floor on the stairway.I ordered the half/half (half miso sauce and half plain with cherry sauce running the middle). The miso sauce was quite tasty and was a local delicatcee, and you can taste the fermentation. I prefer the cherry sauce though.A number of staff were able to speak English, and English menu was provided. We had no problem with the service. Definitely recommend this place.

They serve their Nagoya local dish “fried miso pork cutlet”. The taste of miso is stronger and thicker than other places in Japan. Rice and cabbages available for refill. Funny thing is they have a statue of their pork character at the outside and an episode of anime or their pork icon is playing on the big screen.

Because of many recommendations, we decided to eat lunch in this restaurant. The waitresses are really nice and could understand our order, even without really speaking English. The food is not bad, but in my opinion a bit too expensive for what it is. Our meat was a bit hard to chew. I was expecting more really tender meat!

I would highly recommend the kurobuta loin, both the waraji (jumbo) and the "regular" rosu. The price is a third cheaper than maisen in Tokyo. Simply amazing. Be prepared to queue for a while, but the queue moves quickly and is very well organised.

It's always full, a bit pricey for Japan, and you will have to wait at least 10 minutes in line to get a table. But hey, it's totally worth it because the Miso Katsu is just amazing. If you are in Nagoya, you should definitely go for it: it's the speciality of the city.

The misokatsu is surprisingly great! The deep fried pork cutlet I had was cooked perfectly, and the miso-base sauce made it even more wonderful to the palate! Enjoyed my entire meal. Service is fast and the place is huge! There’s some music being played that gave me an impossible LSS. 💯

Misokatsu Yabaton is a small restaurant specialized in porc. We had the typical misokatsu and a porc filet. Both dishes tasted alright and the meat was ok (the misokatsu little greasy). A bit pricey but service quick and friendly. We were a party of two on a Wednesday and had a table w/o any delay.English was no problemCredit card accepted

The dish tasted alright, the sauce was indeed very tasty, the meat was ok. It is a bit pricey and it always very Full, you will have to wait in line. The line moves fast though, which comes at the price that you cannot really stay there for too long.

Really great grilled pork with unique type of sauce. We went in at 6:30pm on Monday and the queue was already there. Didnt have to wait long though as they are very efficient at pre ordering food and things are done fast. This particular venue has just opened (or newly renovated we were not sure). Food is not expensive and have authentic feel.

Busy and popular spot, had a short wait around 2pm on Wednesday. I had the ‘hire katsu don’ which was lean yet tender, great for someone like me who prefers lean cuts. Was pretty good however I wish the sauce came separately so I can control how much sauce to put over the katsu/rice. The amount which was poured by the waiter basically covered most of rice by the sauce which felt too heavy. We learned this after but there’s a free parking available for customers dining in!!

I really liked their food and service . I went there alone and got my seat very quickly as they have counter seats just assign for single customers. I have ordered the "half-half" katsu , one side with the infamous Miso sauce and the other side with normal katsu sauce. You could refill the rice and salad as much as you wish and I have paid extra to get the tonjiru (pork Miso soup) which was tasty as well !

The best miso katsu we’ve had by far! They open at 11 am and by the time we reached there, 11.20am, it was already packed with a long queue waiting outside. It took us 40 minutes to get the table. Good thing was they took your order right when you were queuing outside so it didn’t take long to get your order once you get seated.

This is a must try in Nagoya! This specific dish is so delicious, and the best thing about it is that you get a combination of two flavors. The darker sauce that's covered all over the cutlet is the miso flavor. The one that has a line drawn across is there special sauce that this specific store is know for. The meal comes with a little bowl of rice, miso soup and green tea. You will recognize this place whenever you see a piggie mascot. This particular location is the original location, but there plenty locations that aren't nearly as busy as this one. So be sure to check it out!

Delicious. The recommended set costs around 2,000 yen. Long waiting line during lunch and dinner time. We went at 11:30 and got the table right away. On the way out around 12:15, there were at least 30 people waiting.

Delicious place to get red miso on a pork cutlet. Hirekatsu is delicious. The pork is from Kagoshima and is not the usual pork. The flavor is very mild and perfectly seasoned. It comes with a heaping pile of shredded cabbage, and you can ask for more rice when you are done with your first bowl. There is another branch in Tokyo (Ginza area) that you can try as well.

Questions & Answers

There are shrimp fly and asparagus fly, ☺ You can enjoy it separately or in sets! Extra large shrimp fish ~ ☺ There are 7 menus too よ

It is recommended to use "half and half" of miso and sauce in a waraji tonkatsu. You can enjoy two kinds of taste. It is delicious if you eat it in the freshly cooked hot air.

The main store has a parking lot that can be parked around the back of the store.
